We had our first snow of the season on Saturday and its just one more reason to make me happy we moved out to a farm.
The other bonus is that this year, we are decking the halls with boughs of holly (and magnolia and pine) from our own trees. Talk about cheaper! And when the season is done, they’ll go into the compost and hopefully turn into carrots next year :)
The mantle is my favorite so far. Mom and I made it mostly from pine boughs, with magnolia leaves around the clock and some holly. Then we added some felted red wool balls I made last year and the little red lanterns are from Ikea. I love Christmas!
