My First Quilt

Well, I made my first quilt and, in a surprising turn of events, I actually like it!  I’ve had this quilt book (First-Time Quiltmaking) for several years now but I’ve been too intimidated to make one.  I started out small (crib sized quilt with a simple pattern), with low expectations and it turns out that I actually like the process – even sewing the binding on by hand was fun.  The fabric came from my local quilt shop, Cottonseed Glory.

Its not perfect and I definitely learned some things making this one, but I am going to make another one for sure.  My only challenge now is to keep from buying fabric for too many quilts.  Must remember that the point is to be able to finish them…  :)
