ButterPies.com - Doing the kid thing

My friend Jenny loves to take her kids to pick-your-own farms and today, I finally took my kids to Larriland Farms in Howard County Maryland.  The kiddos loved it - we picked blueberries, raspberries and tart cherries and we had a great time.  The farm is not organic but they practice Integrated Pest Management, which at least means they think a bit before spraying pesticides.  Its a very well run operation and the fruit is so tasty.

Its a bit of a drive from DC so I’d love to hear of other options if anyone has one!  There’s nothing quite like a blueberry fresh off the bush and warm from the sun.  I had a great time, the kids loved it and my husband is still smiling from the fresh cherry pie we had for dessert.
