Planning Ahead

With four kids and a budget, I have to do a lot more planning ahead for the food we are going to eat every week.  I usually try to plan out the menu for the week ahead and shop from my list.  Growing our own food means that I’m planning on what we’re going to eat months from now.

In July, this Prudens Purple Tomato is going to rock.

Love it! Although at first I thought those were awfully strange-looking brownies.

Jason – I know right? Every time I walk by them, I’m like “ooh brownies” and then I’m like, “nope, soil blocks, bummer.” :)

I thought they were brownies, too and that you’d figured out how to grow chocolate! You’ll need to watch the kids—after last year’s April Fools ‘dirt’ desert, they may eat your seedlings!
