“ButterPie” is what our daughter Zoe called a butterfly when she was 2 years old. Its happy and makes us smile, like this website. I also have visions of someday creating an actual “Butter Pie” with flaky crust and yummy goodness…

We are two grown-ups, four kids (we’re outnumbered!) and two dogs on 12 acres in Maryland, hoping to make it as farmers and crafters and most importantly, a strong family.
This site is about our family and about our lives as we change from urban office workers to rural farmers. I’m interested to see how it all turns out.

Hi! Do you ever post about community events here? I work for Young Playwrights’ Theater, and we have an upcoming event at CHAW that we’d like to publicize.
