What’s Another Dog?

I want to introduce you to the newest resident of Right Field Farm – Zeke!

Friends of ours moved to Israel for 6 months and we agreed to take their beautiful chocolate lab, Zeke, for them while they’re gone.  He’s a great dog and gets along well with Bernie and Kirby, and even gives Bernie a good run and wrestle which that puppy definitely needs.

He’s still learning his farm manners – being a Labrador, he managed to flush, chase and catch one of the chickens.  David caught him just as he caught the chicken and no harm was done to either dog or fowl :)  I think we can be grateful for the Labrador’s “soft mouth” and duck retrieving heritage that demanded a dog bring back the bird without additional damage.  Even with all that, he’s a fun dog to have around and is even better than Bernie at chasing off the deer.

The funniest is how much he loves to eat tomatoes!  A vegetarian dog fits right in here :)

what a good friend and neighbor you are to offer your farm as a long term doggie hotel. i’m sure that lab thinks he is in dog heaven with all that land to run around with and 2 buddies to boot! good for bernie to have a wrestling partner. a friend of mine says some of God’s best work was the way He made dogs…..and i agree.

Glad to see all dogs are becoming fast friends. Sammy says – I miss you Zeke – ruff, ruff, ruff! Maybe we can meet your two new friends when you come back. ruff, ruff – love sammy.
